Are you an amazing Setup Supervisor who loves events and wants to ensure all aspects of a function is achieved? Do you have meticulous attention to detail and want to work for an amazing company that holds only world class events?

We are seeking an Event Setup Supervisor to join our busy Operations Team in the Events Industry.

Marriner Group boasts five of Melbourne’s magnificent landmark heritage venues all situated in the Melbourne CBD including:

  • Plaza Ballroom
  • Forum Melbourne
  • Regent Theatre
  • Princess Theatre
  • Comedy Theatre

The Role:

You will complete the set-up requirements stated in the Event Order and set up events accordingly.

Checking/following up emails and communications each day.

You will work in conjunction with the Setup Manager, Sales team, Client Liaison, Events Operation Manager and the Technical department regarding the setup of events

Ensuring all setup requirements are of a high standard, precise attention to detail and meets the expectations of the Setup Manager, Events Operation Manager, Client Liaison and Director of Hospitality

Assisting the client with any special requests on the day.

Liaising with the Setup Manager and Client Liaison to ensure everything is completed and if there are any changes to the event before signing off.

Liaising with the Setup Manager to ensure everything Back of House is neat and tidy before the event.

Experience and Requirements:

Experience in the hospitality/Events industry will be a bonus, however not necessary.

Applicants that possess a positive attitude, strong communication/problem solving skills and the confidence to lead a small crew are encouraged to apply.

Full training/mentoring will be provided to the successful applicant.

Other details:

You will be working alongside the Setup Manager to help deliver the events.

You must be able to work 20-40 hours per week with flexible working hours between 8am – 5pm which includes being available on weekends.
